Jim Winkler has over 35 years of senior leadership, management and technical experience in international economic development programs. He specializes in private sector development, trade and investment, and economic competitiveness.
He manages a business unit with over $200 million in economic growth contracts in trade and investment, agriculture, private sector development, blended finance, and youth and workforce development in over 20 countries. Jim joined Creative in January 2020 as its Vice President of Economic Growth. He oversees a growing portfolio of experts and projects in the Economic Growth Division.
His portfolio includes a $96 million facility under USAID's West Africa Trade & Investment Hub which includes partnerships with 91 companies and financial institutions that will leverage over $600 million in private capital, over $500 million in export sales and create over 80,000 new jobs. He is designing a new Middle East Trade & Investment Facility and exploring new partnerships to launch it.
